Psychological Assessment
Comprehensive, Individualized.
Every child, teen, and young adult is unique. Sometimes, though, it can be hard to know why you or your child is struggling - whether it's with learning, behavior, emotions, or just daily life. A psychological assessment can help provide clarity, direction, and peace of mind.

I offer individualized assessments for children, teens, and young adults ages 3-25. These assessments are designed not just to answer questions, but to help provide a roadmap to guide families with practical recommendations and next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much do you charge for psychological evaluations?
-
Cost for comprehensive psychological evaluations range in price from $1500-$3000 depending on the amount of time needed to administer tests, interpret data, and integrate data into a full report.
2. Do you accept insurance?
-
No, I currently do not accept insurance plans. Services are all private-pay. I do, however, provide a superbill that you can provide to your insurance company and potentially be reimbursed for portions of the evaluation complete. Every insurance plan is different and no guarantee of reimbursement is provided. Any individual who wants to go through insurance is highly encouraged to contact their insurance plan to determine out-of-network benefits and if reimbursement will be provided.

3. Why don't you accept insurance?
-
Great question! I choose to stay out-of-network for several reasons. First, insurance companies often limit who you can see as they dictate who is in-network or not. I choose to be out-of-network so that clients can see me as they wish. Second, when you go through insurance, any diagnoses or labels given are reported to insurance companies. Insurance companies can use this information and it can potentially impact you negatively in certain situations (i.e., applying for life or disability insurance, etc.). Third, insurance companies often do not reimburse for certain diagnoses and will often pick and choose which tests or even diagnoses they will reimburse for. For example, insurance companies do not reimburse any private psychological evaluations looking at learning disabilities. By not accepting insurance, I have full control of the tests I choose to administer so that I am able to provide the most comprehensive picture of you or your child.
